Well, well, Hello there November: November Life Update, Goal Setting, and my New Fall Morning Routine

Hello, friends! The summer months are officially gone and with the crisp autumn air rolling in, it feels like the perfect moment for a check-in. There’s something about fall that always feels like a secret second chance at a new year, a natural time to pause, reflect, and reset our intentions. I’ve been doing a lot of that lately, and I’m so excited to share the changes happening behind the scenes.

In this post, I’m opening up about my personal fall goals. I’m also sharing the details of how I’m revamping my morning routine. I’m using strategies that helped to completely transform how I started my days in the past. However, there are some slight adjustments that will work a lot better with my current schedule.

We’ll explore everything from how to set meaningful fall goals to tips for creating a productive morning routine for autumn. Plus, I’ll be giving you a sneak peek at some exciting blog updates and a new direction I’m taking things.

My November Goals: Setting Intentions for Fall

There’s a lot of major life change happening for me in this fall season. I’m moving (again), I’m starting a new career, re-focusing on my personal brand and what type of legacy I want to leave behind, I’m back in the gym, and I am leaning on and depending on God more than I ever have before. I’ve found it more difficult in this season to create goals because everything feels so fluid and unsure. I mean, how can I create a concrete timeframe for a goal, or even be specific enough to set an intention when I feel like life has me blowing in the wind.

I’m even learning to approach my goals and intentions in a completely different way. I’ve finally learned how to give myself grace. Not the kind of grace that allows you to create excuses for yourself, but the kind of grace that allows for missteps, re-alignment, and the ability to move foward in self-trust. I’d encourage you to give yourself that same type of grace as you write out your goals for this month and beyond.

My goal list:

  • 8 high quality blog posts that completely light me up and provide value to my readers
  • At least five, 45-minute workouts each week
  • Get at least two new homes under contract
  • Making it a point to meditate daily, even if it’s only ten minutes
  • To create more content than I consume
  • Finish two books on my fall reading list

For me goal -setting in the fall feels somehow more meaningful than New Years resolutions. I like setting goals on my birthday (it’s my true “new year ” of life and it’s about mid-year since I’m born on July 3rd) and in the fall because everything starts to slow down and change. The fall is for old things to fall away to prepare for the new amazing things to spring forth in the next season. So this is perfect for goal setting for me.

And as I write this, there are exactly 60 days left in the year. It’s easier to narrow down goals and still have enough time in the year to make the big push to get some of those larger goals accomplished. Also, we tend to overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can get done in 60-90 days.

What do you think of my list? I was originally wanting to keep my goals and intentions to three things. What can I say? I’m aiming high this fall!

My New Fall Morning Routine: Embracing Slower Mornings

There’s nothing I love more than a super slow intentional morning, but lately they’ve been hard to come by. I’ve bringing them back this fall! There’s something so enjoyable, relaxing, and the perfect springboard to a perfect day about a slow morning.

You know, the type of morning where you take your time to make the perfect latte for yourself. You slow down to read a book, journal, and/or write out your to-do list, goals, and intentions for the day. You have a great breakfast, an amazing workout, or some devotional time. It’s just whatever your heart desires. But the greatest part is that you’re not in a rush while doing it, it’s the early morning when you’re the most alert and creative, it’s quiet and you can hear yourself think.

My new routine is chocked full of all the stereotypical things the self-help gurus tell you to start your morning with. And let me tell you, there’s a reason they all say the same thing. It’s because it works! It challenging for me to let go of my super comfy bed some mornings, but what’s made it easier is remembering how good I feel about myself and my day when I do have my intentional time.

What’s been working for me is incorporating Hal Elrod’s miracle morning into my routine, and I’m not as consistent as I should/could be, 🫠 (I’m working on that) but it makes a world of difference when I do. Another good read for helping you to re-vamp your morning is the 5am Club by Robin Sharma.

Here’s what I’m re-committing to my morning routing looking like these days:

  • Early Wake-Up: for me this means adding an additional hour of wake up time to the actual amount of time I need to get myself together that morning
  • Devotional Time: This can be a quick devotional read on my Bible app, or a longer sit-down study session with my Daily Walk Bible
  • Intentional Shower: I slow down and take my shower not rushing through it while visualizing how I want my day to go
  • Silent Time/ Meditation Time: this time I will sit in silence or in meditation allowing myself to get still and hear from God (usually before my Devotional time) and if you like guided meditation try the Calm App, it’s my favorite
  • Gratitude: Some people like to write this down and I think that is a great practice; however, sometimes if I don’t’ have as much time as I’d like; I’ll say them out-loud on my drive to work or to myself as I’m getting dressed for the day. This is a great practice because it’s impossible to be negative while thinking about what you’re grateful for.

What’s Coming to the Blog: Exciting Content Updates

As I set my intentions for this next chapter and thinking of what I’d like to have accomplished by the end of this year; I’ve been dreaming up new ways to make this space cozy, inspiring, and genuinely helpful for each of you. And most importantly figuring out a way to create the space to bring content here which I truly enjoy doing so much while managing my new career and navigating life this thing called life. There are so many good things on the way, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Here are a few things you can look forward to:

  • Cozy Routine & Wellness: We’ll dive into gentle routines and self-care rituals to nourish our bodies and minds—think those softer mornings that I mentioned earlier and small changes that help us feel our best, and everyday habits that make a difference, no matter the season. We deserve to slow down and enjoy this life and we can do that by finding joy in the “mundane.”
  • Beauty Refresh & Essentials: It’s always the perfect time to revisit and refresh our beauty routines, from skincare that supports healthy radiance to versatile makeup swaps and favorite products for any mood or weather. I’ll be sharing what I’m loving lately and I hope you’ll join in with your own tips. The makeup and beauty space will always be my first love. There’s something about a new product hitting my vanity that lights me up inside.
  • Romanticizing Real Life: I know this term was super trendy about a year ago; however, it has always been a part how I move about in this world. It makes life so much more enjoyable when we can challenge ourselves to seek out the magic tucked into our ordinary days, whether that’s savoring a quiet cup of tea, decorating a cozy corner, or taking a walk around your neighborhood or a park. I want us to celebrate the beauty in the present and find little pockets of joy, whatever is on your plate right now.

The New Direction: Evolving with Authenticity

As I’ve been reflecting on my personal goals, I’ve also been thinking deeply about the future of this space and what I want it to become. It feels so important to share this with you, because this journey is as much yours as it is mine. My vision is for this blog to evolve into more than just a website; I want it to be a true hub of togetherness, a place where we can connect on all the things that make us better.

My longtime tagline has always been “whatever you do, make it beautiful,” and I want to bring that sentiment to life more than ever. This means finding beauty not just in aesthetics, but in our daily routines, our personal growth, and our connections with one another. It’s about romanticizing real life and celebrating the small, everyday moments that often mean the most.

To make this happen, you can expect to see a shift toward more personal and interactive content. I’m excited to bring you along with me through more daily vlogging and in-the-moment blogging, sharing the authentic, unedited parts of my life. I want this space to feel like a conversation with a close friend, where we can be vulnerable, share our struggles, and cheer each other on. This evolution feels authentic and necessary, and I can’t wait to grow with you as we build this beautiful community together.

Life Updates: All The Things

On top of all the internal shifts and goals, my life has been filled with some pretty big external changes lately, and my heart feels so full just thinking about it all. The biggest news is that I’ve officially started a new career pivot into real estate! It feels like a path I was always meant to walk, and I’m so excited to throw myself completely into this new venture and see where it leads.

Another wonderful change is that we recently moved! The new space already feels so much like home, and one of the best parts has been spending more quality time with David. Just being able to see him more often has brought so much joy and balance into my days.

Through all this, I’m feeling a deep sense of renewal. I’m recommitting to building my personal brand and prioritizing my health in a way that feels sustainable and nurturing. It’s all about intentionally building this new version of myself, piece by piece.

At the same time, I’m holding so much gratitude for the person I was who got me to this point. It’s a beautiful feeling to be able to look back with love while simultaneously embracing the person you are becoming.

Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. As I step into this next chapter, it’s clear to me that change isn’t just about new routines or career pivots; it’s about embracing the journey of becoming. In the past I spent so much time running to what’s next that I didn’t take a lot of time to enjoy the “messy middle.” So from setting fresh intentions to sharing life’s big updates and dreaming up a new vision for this community, it all comes back to one simple idea: finding the beauty in our own evolution.

This season, I encourage you to look at your own life and find those little pockets of opportunity for growth and joy. What small shift can you make? What part of your own story are you excited to write next? Your journey is uniquely yours, and it deserves to be celebrated every step of the way.

I truly believe we are so much better together and we have so much more in common that we have the things that set us apart. If this post resonated with you, I would be so grateful if you would like, share, or leave a comment below. Tell me about a goal you’re setting or a change you’re navigating. Your views, stories, likes, and support are what will help me build this community an make it special, and I can’t wait to continue this conversation with you my friend.

And as always whatever you do, make it beautiful. Talk soon! xoxo
